Additional or user-defined fields can be added to customers, invoices, quotes and products. For example, if you sell cars you may want to add a vehicle registration number to an invoice and rather than write the number into a line item on the invoice you might like to have a separate, custom field to enter the value.
To Add Additional Fields
Go to the Setup page and click the Add Additional fields link:
When the additional fields page loads enter the titles for any custom fields you wish to define then save the field titles.
Entering Values into Additional Fields
After adding an additional field, a new Additional Fields tab will appear when editing data. For example, if you defined a Vehicle Reg. Number field for an invoice, the Additional Fields tab will allow you to enter a value for the new, user-defined field.
